BlueQubit Inc. and Quantum Art Ltd. Awarded Grant for Quantum Computing Innovation

BlueQubit Inc. and Quantum Art Ltd. have been awarded a grant from the IsraelU.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation. The grant, totaling $2.2 million over two years, is aimed at developing and optimizing quantum machine learning algorithms and quantum processor configuration methods. BlueQubit, based in California, specializes in quantum software simulations, while Quantum Art, an Israeli company, focuses on developing scalable quantum computers based on trapped ion qubits.

The collaboration between BlueQubit and Quantum Art intends to create innovative algorithms and optimize quantum processor configurations, with the potential to accelerate advancements in fields such as finance, pharmaceuticals, image analysis, and security. This project is one of six approved by the BIRD Foundation, demonstrating a commitment to driving technological innovation in the quantum computing sector.

Hrant Gharibyan, CEO of BlueQubit, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in advancing quantum machine learning through software and hardware codesign. By aligning quantum algorithms with Quantum Arts scalable hardware, they aim to address key challenges and make quantum technology more accessible to enterprise users. Tal David, CEO of Quantum Art, emphasized that scaling up quantum technology and optimizing algorithms for commercial viability are significant challenges in the field, and this project aims to tackle both aspects in a synergistic manner.
