EarthEn Energy Receives Funding from National Science Foundation for Thermal Energy Storage System
EarthEn Energy, a USbased climatetech startup, has received funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program for their novel Thermal Energy Storage (TES) system. The funding will support the development of a heat battery for EarthEns sCO2based, thermomechanical, longduration energy storage solution. This innovative technology aims to provide a reliable and dispatchable source of clean energy, contributing towards the transition to a lowcarbon energy future.
The funding from NSF STTR program, also known as Americas Seed Fund, will enable EarthEn Energy to further develop and commercialize their TES system. The focus will be on enhancing the systems efficiency, durability, and costeffectiveness, with the goal of bringing this gamechanging technology to the market.
Manas Pathak, CEO and CoFounder of EarthEn Energy, expressed excitement about receiving NSFs support to advance their groundbreaking TES technology. Palash Panja, Chief Technology Officer at EarthEn Energy, highlighted the companys innovative spirit and expertise, looking forward to collaborating with NSF and partners to drive the technologys market adoption.
