ECHL Board of Governors Approves TransactionTeam to Host Online Town Hall with Dexter Paine and Adam Goldberg tonight at 6:00 pm ET
The Maine Mariners, under new ownership led by Dexter Paine, have announced the completion of the acquisition from Comcast Spectacor. The acquisition was approved by the ECHL Board of Governors at its preseason meeting. Dexter Paine, a passionate hockey fan, expressed his excitement to bring the same magic to the fans that he experienced watching the original Maine Mariners growing up.
Paine, known for his extensive sports and business background, will now serve as Governor of the Maine Mariners. The teams President, Adam Goldberg, has been promoted to CEO and Alternate Governor, while Terrence Wallin will continue his roles as Head Coach and General Manager. The Mariners are gearing up to open training camp for the upcoming season.
Additionally, the ECHL Commissioner, Ryan Crelin, welcomed Dexter Paine to the league and commended Comcast Spectacor for their efforts in establishing professional hockey in Maine.
A Town Hall event with Dexter Paine and Adam Goldberg will be hosted online by Michael Keeley, Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations, providing fans with an opportunity to engage with the new ownership.
