Fifth Third Foundation Announces $300,000 Grant to WBENC LIFT Financial Center of Excellence

The Fifth Third Foundation has announced a threeyear, $300,000 grant to the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) LIFT Financial Center of Excellence. This grant aims to provide women business owners with comprehensive financial support and resources, including education, coaching, networking, and funding opportunities.

The WBENC LIFT Financial Center of Excellence, established to advance gender parity for women entrepreneurs through financial education and funding opportunities, will benefit greatly from this funding. The LIFT program collaborates closely with WBENC Corporate Members to offer programming that assists women business owners in accessing capital and achieving financial scalability.

The grant provided by the Fifth Third Foundation will support programming that connects business owners directly with financial experts to aid in their growth. WBENC President & CEO, Pamela PrinceEason, expressed appreciation for the support, acknowledging that the grant will amplify their ability to provide financial education and funding opportunities to womenowned businesses.

Fifth Third Banks Vice President and Director of Supplier Diversity, Carla Cobb, highlighted the banks commitment to advancing small businesses inclusion and community wellbeing. Heidi Jark, Senior Vice President and Managing Director for the Fifth Third Foundation, emphasized the importance of supporting female entrepreneurs and building stronger communities through initiatives like the WBENC LIFT Financial Center of Excellence.
